Amos Balongo

When you are talking to Amos Balongo, Founder and Chairman of The Camp Ohana Foundation, you realize that the true spirit of Ohana and passion to make a difference in children and youth worldwide is largely the result of his vision and personal conviction.
His experience extends to but is not limited to corporate management at various levels, leadership positions at the International YMCA, leadership of several camp programs, and development of various programs for children in Kenya and the United States.
Amos serves on various boards and consults worldwide on matters pertaining to recreation and youth development. He is currently the Chief Executive of The Leader Compass, serves on the American Camping Association’s standards and Accreditation team and is on the Board of Directors for the World Leisure organization.
A world traveller, Amos enjoys snorkeling, hiking, swimming and spending quality time with his Ohana in Hawaii and Kenya.
