Camp Ohana Cultural Experience Program

classroom03.jpgIntroduction

The Camp Ohana Cultural Experience Program engages American children and Kenyan children.

Camp Ohana Foundation has partnered with various schools and organizations to provide this unique cross cultural experience for children and youth in both the United States and Kenya.

Overview

Through various activities including the cooking of local foods, games that teach language, arts and crafts, music and dance, and traditional storytelling, our cultural learning program engages and educates participating children and  enhances their understanding of the wider world.

Our team keeps a running dialogue between the children in the United States and in Kenya through a pen-pal program and other correspondence activities. This program currently serves 100 children in the US and Kenya.
